Senator Chuck Schumer has a plan to better promote New York’s 77 breweries and brewpubs.

The campaign titled “I Love NY Brew” calls on restaurants, bars and convenience stores to help out the industry.

Ithaca Beer Company Owner Dan Mitchell says campaigns like Senator Schumer’s can be beneficial across all industries in New York.

Mitchell says if people start 'buying New York' and 'thinking New York' it helps everybody, and expects with this campaign to see an increase in the 180,000 cases of beer he sells per year throughout the state.
